President Democratic Republic of Congo Felix Tshisekedi said on Tuesday that some 150 people were missing after a ship sank in a lake in the east of the country.
“I am deeply saddened by the ship’s wreck on Lake Kivu on April 15. The initial toll is 150 missing,” the president wrote on Twitter.
“Three bodies have been recovered, 33 people were rescued nearly 150 people are missing,” said Delfin Mperembi, an activist from South Kivu province.
