The Senegal authorities have seized 798 kilograms of drugs hidden in new cars, arrived from Brazil.

According to customs, the cocaine was found in 15 cars, which were brought in by boat, when docked in Dakar.

It’s the latest discovery following the seizing of 238 kilograms of cocaine smuggled from Brazil last Wednesday, using the same method, through the port of Dakar.

Drug smugglers make West Africa the gateway to smuggle cocaine from South America to Europe.

Last week, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) reported that 3.4 tons of drugs were seized in Africa in 2017, compared to just 1.2 tons in 2015.
