More than half the population of the United States of America opposed the idea of applying and adopting Arabic numerals in schools.
According to a poll conducted by ‘Civic Science’ published a large opposition to more than half the Americans to the idea of implementing the study of Arabic numerals in schools.
The questionnaires were asked “Should the study of Arabic numerals be included in the American curriculum?” At a time when the meaning of the Arabic numerals was not explained as required.
The results showed that more than 56 percent rejected the idea while 29 percent supported it while 15 percent abstained. The poll included 3,624 people.
The Arabic numerals used in the Arab countries are Indian numerals.
