An old woman in her 103-year-old acquires US citizenship

A 103-year-old woman has finally achieved her dream of acquiring US citizenship, the Miami News website reported.

According to the website, Saturday, Andrea Joseph, a Haitian born on August 15, 1915, swore the right to citizenship before the Immigration and Citizenship Agency of the United States.

Her family said she entered the United States more than 15 years ago as a permanent resident. “I’m not sure, but she may be the eldest citizen in her region,” said her granddaughter Mildred Oja. “We are proud of this moment and we want to share it with you.”
