‘Jumanji’ and ‘Fast and Furious’ filmmaker Dwayne Johnson returns to the throne as the highest paid actor in the world, earning $ 89.4 million from June 2018 to June, reports Forbes magazine.

It includes revenues and profits from the movie, a $ 700,000 installment for each episode of the HBO series ‘Ballers’ and royalties up to seven figures under Under Armor brand clothing, footwear and headphones.

Last year, the former professional wrestler known as The Rock, came in second behind actor George Clooney, who benefited from the sale of his tequila company.

Dwayne Johnson, an American actor, producer, and former professional wrestler. Johnson was a professional wrestler for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) for eight years prior to pursuing an acting career.

Johnson had his first acting role in The Mummy Returns (2001), and played his first lead role in the spin-off The Scorpion King (2002). He has since starred in numerous other films, including The Rundown (2003), The Other Guys (2010), Moana (2016), and Jumanj: Welcome to the Jungle (2017). Johnson’s most successful box office role has been Luke Hobbs in The Fast and the Furious franchise. He first appeared as the character in Fast Five (2011) and helped catapult the film series into one of the top-grossing movie franchises in history. The character’s popularity led to The Fast and the Furious spin-off movie Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

The next highest rating was achieved by two movie actors ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ the world’s highest-grossing film to date, Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr.

“(Chris) Hemsworth, who plays Thor for $ 76.4 million, while Iron Man acting Robert Downey Jr managed to hit the charts by earning US $ 66 million,” Forbes said.

Other Endgame actors such as Bradley Cooper (6th), Chris Evans (8th) and Paul Rudd (9th) were also listed as the top 10 highest paid performers this time.

However, much of Cooper’s income came from directing, publishing, scripting and acting in the musical film ‘A Star is Born’ with Lady Gaga.

Cooper earned $ 57 million, including $ 40 million from the film.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar came in fourth with $ 65 million, followed by Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan with $ 58 million.
