Thousands of Americans took part in protests on Saturday in New York City aimed at tightening weapons laws led by survivors of mass shootings that sparked public outrage over such incidents..

Campaign organizers want the Congress, many of whose members are running this year, to ban the sale of weapons such as those used in the Florida massacre and tighten inspection of arms buyers. On the other hand, gun advocates use constitutional guarantees as an excuse to justify the right to bear arms.

In March, President Donald Trump signed a $ 1.3 trillion spending budget that included minor adjustments to data checks on arms sales and ensured that schools would help cope with armed violence.
