New York: 102,863 Coronavirus cases, escalating daily

New York Governor Andrew Como has announced that the number of Coronavirus cases in the state has risen to 102,863.

He said: “New York is the spearhead in our war against the Coronavirus,” stressing the need to mobilize the necessary medical resources and staff and focus on New York now.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called 10 days ago for an immediate ceasefire worldwide to confront the spread of the Coronavirus.


Antonio Guterres stressed that half of the students around the world are not going to schools today, due to the widespread of the emerging Coronavirus, stressing his support for the UNESCO initiative to expand and spread the mechanisms of distance learning.

Guterres said: “Currently half of the world’s students are not going to school due to an epidemic.” Covid-19, I support UNESCO’s initiative to accelerate the deployment of distance learning solutions and minimize educational disorders while fighting the Coronavirus.
