Police in North Macedonia announced the dismantling of a major criminal network involved in smuggling drugs, weapons, and ammunition.
Interior Ministry spokesman Tony Angelowski said that nine people, including a police officer, were arrested after raiding dozens of homes and sites near the capital, “Skopje” and the city of “Sveti Nikola” in the center of the country.
The police explained that the operation followed months of equipment during which more than 20 smuggling cases were documented, pointing out that this network is linked to another network that the authorities seized last November.
