The death toll in Seattle has risen to two, while two others were seriously injured when a gunman opened fire on two motorists and a bus in Seattle and then collided as he attempted to escape independently of a stolen vehicle.
The incident took place at rush hour on Wednesday afternoon in a northeastern suburb of Seattle when the culprit approached a motorcade at a crossroads and fired at it before shooting at the bus, police said in a statement.
Police said the bus driver faced the shooting, but managed to change the route of the bus and get away from the attacker who approached someone else driving a Toyota and opened fire on him.
Police said the gunman quickly boarded the car as police tried to escape but hit a nearby vehicle, killing the driver. Officers arrested the suspect after a brief confrontation.
The authorities did not immediately explain the motive behind the incident and did not specify the type of weapon used.
