Stephanie Grisham, the former spokeswoman for First Lady Melania Trump will be the new spokesperson for US President Donald Trump. This was announced on Tuesday by Melania Trump on Twitter. Grisham follows as a White House spokeswoman on Sarah Sanders, who leaves at the end of the month at her own request. Melania Trump wrote that she could not imagine a better person to serve the government and the country.

Grisham has long been part of Trump’s environment. She joined the campaign team in 2015 and is thus one of the few employees who was able to stay from the early days.

Stephanie Grisham is considered extremely loyal and should have been responsible for some behind-the-scenes decisions. There were reports that she was a driving force in the past November behind the dismissal of Deputy National Security Advisor Mira Ricardel.

Almost two weeks ago Trump announced that Sanders would leave the White House at the end of the month.

The 36-year-old Sanders had then stressed that the job as spokeswoman for the White House had been “the honor of my life”.

She had stated that she wanted to spend more time with her family and four, five, and seven-year-old children to justify her departure.

Sanders had come under criticism from journalists for holding fewer press conferences. Renowned by Trump, American broadcaster CNN wrote: “Sarah Sanders primary legacy as White House Press Secretary will be the death of the daily press briefing.” Sanders’s last brief press conference in the White House Briefing Room was on March 11.

Sanders, who had followed Sean Spicer as the White House press secretary, was particularly struck by her almost unconditional loyalty to Trump.

When her departure was announced, Sanders said she was eternally grateful to the president for the task and she was proud of everything Trump had achieved. Her most important task is to be a mother to her children.

Sanders now wants to return to Arkansas. Her father Mike Huckabee was governor from 1996 to 2007. Sarah Sanders did not rule out running for office in the future.
