On Friday, US authorities arrested a suspect at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City on charges of terrorism.
The US news network ABC quoted the sources that the suspect wanted to join the Taliban movement in Afghanistan and was about to board a plane bound for Pakistan at the time of his arrest.
The network said the suspect was to appear before a court later in the day. The source added that the suspect was not a threat to US territory but was arrested on his intention to travel to join Taliban fighters.
