The American President Donald Trump has reacted angrily on a report that the FBI has taken investigation against him after the dismissal of James Comey. “Wow, I just learned from the failing New York Times that the FBI’s corrupt ex-executives (…) opened an investigation against me for no reason and no evidence after I fired the lying James Comey total felt! “, Trump wrote on Saturday in a first Twitter message, which later followed by four more on the subject.

The New York Times previously reported that after the release of Comey in May 2017, the FBI had investigated whether Trump had knowingly or unknowingly worked for Russia and against US interests.

 

The newspaper relied on former employees of the Federal Police and unnamed persons who were familiar with the investigation. Concern over Trump’s behavior had been so great in the days following Comey’s release that they had taken that step, the report said.

 

Among other things, the purpose of the investigation was to assess whether his actions represented a potential threat to national security. That would have experts of the counterintelligence examined.

 

Another issue was whether the dismissal of Comey presented a hindrance to the judiciary, they say. This point was already known.

 

Trump has repeatedly described the investigation as a “witch hunt”. The “New York Times,” which has won multiple journalism awards for its quality journalism, has repeatedly accused Trump.
