U.S Stocks upsurge as trade talks closed on positive note

U.S. Stocks on Wednesday closed higher on trade confidence as the US-China trade talks ended with positive note.Federal officials said that the government shutdown has lesser effects of wall street trade.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.39% closed up around 91 points, or 0.4%, at 23.878.

The S&P 500 SPX, +0.41% ended up 0.4% to 2,585.

The Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, 0,87% closed up 0.9% to 6.957.

Investors also kept an eye on the Federal Reserve after a raft of speeches from senior Fed officials and minutes from the December meeting all highlighted the central bank’s shift to a more patient approach in 2019.

In corporate news, shares of Chesapeake Energy Corp. CHK, pushed higher +12.65% almost 12% after the energy firm’s fourth-quarter production outlook beyond expectations.
