US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo voiced Washington’s support for Israel’s right to defend itself from the threat of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, the State Department said in a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after Israeli air strikes in Syria.

“The foreign minister and prime minister discussed how Iran is using its presence in Syria to threaten Israel and its neighbors,” the ministry said in a statement“.
