The US Senate approved early Wednesday morning the rules for the trial of President Donald Trump, and this included postponing discussions on calling witnesses until the middle of the trial.

The House of Representatives, with the support of all Republican members, voted by 53 votes to 47 in favor of approving the trial plan that allows the opening of the opening pleadings from members of the House of Representatives later in the day.
