The United States will impose all its sanctions packages to prevent the private sector from helping an Iranian oil tanker sailing in the Mediterranean that Washington wants to seize, a State Department official said on Monday.
“The shipping sector has been informed that we will enforce US sanctions with full force,” the official said, days after countries warned against allowing the ship to dock at their ports.
Vessel tracking data show that the ship Adrian Daria 1, formerly known as Grace 1, was heading for Greece, although the Greek prime minister said it was not destined for his country.
