Twelve people were killed and around 90 wounded after two car bomb attacks outside Kandahar police headquarters in southern Afghanistan by Taliban militants. Clashes between security forces and insurgents reported

According to the Afghan news agency Khaama Press, the militants attacked the Kandahar police headquarters in the Ainu Minh area, without giving further details.

Kandahar police chief General Tadeen Khan Achakazai confirmed the attack near the police headquarters, adding that the security forces responded to the attack, and the clashes continued.
