The US Geological Survey said a magnitude 6 earthquake occurred south of the city of Raba on the island of Sumbawa in central Indonesia on Tuesday.

 

No tsunami warning has been issued so far and there have been no reports of damage or casualties.

 

The epicenter was about 219 km south of Raba in eastern Sumbawa and at a depth of 25 km.
