China is willing to hold talks at the end of October at the earliest to finalize the details of the first phase of a trade deal that US President Donald Trump has outlined before Chinese President Xi Jinping agrees to sign it, Bloomberg quoted informed sources as saying on Monday.

Bloomberg said China may send a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Liu He to finalize a written agreement that the two presidents could sign at the Asia-Pacific Cooperation Summit scheduled to be held in Chile next month.

The report said China also wants Trump to cancel a planned tariff increase in December as well as an increase this week.
