The Afghan army announced the killing and wounding of 48 militants of the Taliban, including one of the leaders of the movement in the province of Balkh in northern Afghanistan.
Shaheen 209 of the Afghan army – in a statement reported by the Afghan news agency (Khamaa Press) – that the security forces carried out military operations, including air strikes, artillery strikes and ground operations against Taliban militants in Balkh province.
The statement pointed out that the security forces were able to kill 30 Taliban militants, in addition to the injury of 18 others during the military operations.
The security forces destroyed four motorcycles belonging to the militants during the military operations.
The Afghan army said that three members of the security forces were killed during the military operations, while five others were wounded.
