A magnitude of 6.1 earthquake struck north of Okinawa island in Japan today, US Geological Survey Center (USGS) said.
So far, no injury or property damage has been reported due to the tremors.
According to the USGS, the tremors were detected at a depth of 257 kilometers, about 346 kilometers north of Naha, the capital city of Okinawa.
