North Korea shuts the borders for tourists to prevent Corona virus

North Korea has taken measures to tackle the pneumonia caused by the Corona virus, which broke out in Wuhan, central China.

The North Korean newspaper (Rodong Shinmun) on Wednesday, in its article entitled “The spread of the epidemic caused by the new virus of the Corona virus in China”, reviewed the current situation in China and the measures of the Chinese government in detail.

The newspaper said that the new virus of the Corona strain has spread rapidly in China, causing damage, adding that China is taking necessary measures to counter the highly contagious virus.

The newspaper did not mention the occurrence of the virus in North Korea, but it is taking preventive measures from it, such as suspending tourism to foreign travelers, according to the South Korean News Agency, “Yonhap”.

On Tuesday, North Korea’s central television station presented the symptoms of Corona virus and preventive measures, stressing that the country is seeking, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, to prevent the virus from entering it.

For its part, the Chinese pioneering youth tourism agency said on its website that North Korea has temporarily closed the border to all foreign tourists starting from January 22 as part of preventive measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
