Indian authorities announced Sunday that one person was killed and three others were injured in the state of Maharashtra by thunderstorms and heavy rains.

Local Indian media reported that the stormy weather caused power cuts in several parts of the state, as well as the uprooting of trees, indicating that the victims and injured were killed by the roof collapse of a house.

“The bad weather has also caused the destruction of a number of houses, farmhouses and crop stores,” police said.
