Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has said that the country is ready to respond to any Indian action in Kashmir, adding that ‘it is time to give (New) Delhi a lesson’.
He said in the wake of the tense situation between the two neighboring nuclear powers, following a surprise move by India to overthrow the autonomous power of the Kashmir region under his administration last week.
“The Pakistan Army has strong information that India is planning to do something in Kashmir and we are ready to respond”, Khan said
“We have decided that if India takes any act of violence, we will fight to the end,” Imran Khan said.
The warning issued by Imran is seen as a growing rhetoric on the part of Pakistan, after Islamabad rejected military action over the dispute last week.
“It’s time to teach you,” Khan said in his speech in celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
Following New Delhi’s action to abolish Kashmir’s special status, Pakistan launched a diplomatic action to repeal the decree and called on the United Nations Security Council to hold an emergency session to discuss India’s ‘illegal action’, Imran Khan said on Wednesday.
