Russia confirms successful test of “Topol” intercontinental ballistic missile

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the strategic missile forces conducted successful test on the launch of the ballistic missile “Topol” ballistic intercontinental.

The Ministry of Defense said on Friday (July 26th) that the Strategic Missile Forces Unit had launched a Topol intercontinental ballistic missile from the Kapustin Yar field of the southern Russian province of Astrakhan.

The statement confirmed that the missile’s head hit the target set in the field of “Sary Shagan” on the territory of Kazakhstan accurately, and the tasks were carried out fully.

The Topol mobile missile systems are designed to hit all types of strategic targets in various circumstances. The system is equipped with a Rt-2B solid-fuel rocket with a capacity of 0.5 megaton and a weight of 45.1 tons and a range of 10,500 kilometers.
