Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Friday that the ministry has ordered the construction of 400 additional strategic nuclear facilities this year.

“We have exceeded our plans in many indicators and in big names, as you have heard, the infrastructure projects in the first quarter were exceeded by about 11 times,” Shoigu said in a speech after the meeting of the Unified Day of Receiving Military Loads.“He said.

“I hope that this level will be maintained, and there will be 400 facilities, in addition to what we expected this year related to the strategic nuclear deterrent forces as a whole, will also be built,” he said, adding that “this additional task is necessary“. He said.

He stressed that much of what is being provided to the forces, especially strategic missile forces, needs careful and thoughtful improvement. I hope that all the plans we have outlined will be implemented on time.
