Russian authorities on Wednesday put emergency intervention teams in a state of high alert due to flood in Amor district, the Russian Sputnik network reported.
“Teams of the military and emergency intervention groups in the Amor district, the Khabarovsk and the Jewish autonomous region have been on high alert,” the emergency services office said in a statement. “This decision was made because the situation deteriorated significantly in the light of the flood.
The teams are composed of 400 soldiers, about 50 special military units and equipment. These teams monitor the situation closely and also monitor the water level. These groups are ready at any moment to provide assistance to the population.
