Saudi Arabian Consulate in Hong Kong has warned its citizens that the Chinese authorities have announced 27 cases of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in Wuhan, central China, and according to Saudi foreign ministry, the embassy has warned of the seriousness of this virus, calling for consider sanitary measures.

In the same context, the embassy wrote on its official account on Twitter “In the interest of the safety of the Saudi citizens in Hong Kong, the consulate would like to alert them to move away from the following areas: Causeway Bay Admiralty Central, which feared the demonstrations in this area, wishing the safety of all to continue”.

On the other hand, Saudi activists posted videos on social networking sites for the celebrations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the new year 2020, as fireworks were launched in the skies of the Saudi capital to celebrate the beginning of the year, which also holds the end of the Riyadh entertainment season 2019 and the beginning of the Riyadh winter season.

With the beginning of the new year 2020, several decisions and regulations issued during 2019 will enter into force in Saudi Arabia starting from Wednesday, in the forefront of which is the collection of 10 riyals of fees for domestic trips, preventing the employment of pregnant women at night, compensation for employees working at night, as well as allowing the import of live birds, poultry and the state shall bear the financial compensation for the employment of industrial establishments.

According to the Saudi newspaper Okaz, the new zakat list will be applied, the national identity and residence will be approved in medical insurance, the use of hydrogenated oils will be discontinued, and the taxation activity directed by smart applications will be localized.
