Seoul and Moscow held a working-level meeting in Seoul on Thursday on the issue of a Russian military plane’s infiltration into South Korean airspace amid conflicting accounts, Seoul’s Defense Ministry said.

South Korean Defense Ministry said in a brief statement quoted by South Korean Yonhap News Agency: “During the meeting, South Korea provided material proving that its airspace was violated, and we have provided a detailed explanation of the Russian side.”

Russia has asked for such data to be used for its own investigation, the Defense Ministry said.

South Korea has explained that Russian officials said in return that they will send materials to the Ministry of Defense in their country, so that they can be used in the investigation.
