At least 10 armed Taliban militants have been killed in Kunduz and Kandahar provinces in northern and southern Afghanistan during separate operations carried out by the Afghan special operations forces over the last 24 hours.

According to news agency, Khaama Press quoted Afghan sources, saying that the special forces carried out a raid in Khanabad district in the northern province of Kunduz, killing five Taliban militants, and the destruction of four rocket-propelled grenades.

The sources said that the Afghan armed forces also carried out an operation in the southern province of Kandahar, resulting in the deaths of 5 others, while the anti-government armed groups, including the Taliban, have not commented on the news so far.

These two provinces are areas where the Taliban are active, where many attacks are carried out targeting security and government institutions in the country.
