The APC network said on Monday that pro-junta party headed by former general Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha against a democratic front had announced that it had won a majority of the seats and would seek to form a government.

Voters in Thailand on Sunday went to the polls to select the 500 parliament members, which will be appointed by the 250-member upper house of the military junta, for the next prime minister.
