The city of Karachi, the capital of the Sindh region, is witnessing the largest number of infected cases inside Pakistan, with 15 confirmed cases so far, while two cases were recorded in the “Gilgit Baltistan” region and one case in the capital, Islamabad.

Earlier today, Islamabad announced that the number of confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in the country had risen to 18.

It is noteworthy that the new Coronavirus (Covid-19) appeared in late December 2019 in the Chinese city of “Wuhan” in a wild animal market, then spread quickly with a massive movement of citizens to spend the Lunar New Year holiday in January.

Pakistan International Airlines has decided to temporarily suspend its flights to and from Qatar in an attempt to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, in the wake of Doha’s decision to prevent entry of various nationalities, including Pakistan. As reported in a press release, the international airline has suspended flights to and from Qatar until March 31.

Pakistan Air Company offered free flights or refund the money paid to all customers who booked tickets to and from Qatar, adding that the company apologized for any inconvenience caused by the suspension of flights.
