Typhoon Kammuri: Philippine authorities have evacuated 200,000 people living in coastal and mountainous areas due to fears of floods and landslides after news of the powerful typhoon approaching land.

The typhoon is expected to reach the island of Greater Luzon in the country with winds of up to 165 kilometers per hour and gusts of 230 kilometers per hour, the Philippine Meteorological Office said.

Authorities said that all ports and the airport “Ninoy Aquino” in the capital Manila will be closed for 12 hours starting from eleven Tuesday morning.
