Austrian Interior Ministry released a report said, there are 30 members of the Tanzim organization who have Austrian citizenship and are still in war zones in Syria.

A report of the anti-terrorism bureau said Wednesday that the ministry is monitoring those elements, and gathering the necessary information about them to prevent their return to Austria again.

The report pointed out that the recent arrest of an Austrian terrorist in Syria of Turkish origin, named “Azad J.” (27 years) sparked a stir on Austrian domestic politics in the fight against terrorism.

The report also noted that the Austrian fighter said – in a video message after the arrest of his Kurdish forces in eastern Syria – he regrets, expressing the hope that he will be treated humanely.

The report said that 10 of these 30 fighters were from Turkish and Tunisian origin, and 6 fighters were living in the capital Vienna.
