Four migrants were killed and more than 16 were reported missing after a small boat overturned on the way across Europe from North Africa.
A Spanish coast rescue spokesman said 58 migrants were rescued from the boat while others were found to be drifting about 60 kilometers off the coast of Morocco last night.
He added that three bodies were found at sea while another died while being taken to the beach.
Meanwhile, European and Spanish authorities deployed boats and airplanes to conduct operations in search of 16 more survivors.
In addition, they were looking for another boat carrying 78 migrants and believed to be leaving Morocco last night.
According to the International Migration Organization (IMO), at least 1,136 immigrants have been killed or lost this year after trying to cross the sea to European countries.
