An earthquake with an initial of 6.0 magnitude was recorded northwest of the island of Crete in Greece today, said the European-Mediterranean Earthquake Center (EMSC) and the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The EMSC said it was recorded at a depth of 56 kilometers between the Crete and Kythera islands. No damage report received.
Yesterday, at least 21 people died in Albania when the country was hit by a magnitude 6.4 earthquake, the strongest in the Balkans in decades.
