The Bank of England has warned of its outlook for the country’s economic growth, citing Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal.

“While policy news goes hand in hand with the economic outlook, it is important to wait and see the bigger picture, which is not optimistic”, Bank Governor Mark Carney told a news conference.

The Monetary Policy Committee expected a decline in GDP by about 1% by the end of 2022, compared with expectations in August.

The committee attributed part of the decline to the impact of the proposed Brexit agreement.
