Elysee: Talks with Iranian foreign minister are positive and will continue

The French presidential palace “Elysee” described President Emmanuel Macron’s talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif as positive.

The French presidency (Elysee) in a statement reported by the local media outlet on Sunday evening, that these talks will continue.

In a related context, the French presidency explained that Zarif’s invitation to France was in agreement with the United States.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said he had held talks with the French president, Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and representatives of Germany and Britain.

“The road ahead is difficult, but it is worth trying,” Zarif said.

Zarif left France after talks with several officials on the sidelines of the G7 summit.
