President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday denounced Iran’s decision to enrich uranium to a level beyond the limit agreed in the 2015 nuclear deal, a move he said was a “violation” of the deal, an official with the French presidency said.
The French presidency reaffirmed the deadline of July 15 to resume dialogue between the parties, the official said. The official did not elaborate on what would happen after that date.
Iran expressed earlier its readiness to enrich uranium to any level and in any quantity in a greater challenge to US efforts to pressure sanctions and force it to renegotiate the nuclear deal with major powers.
