Dozens of people in western Greece have to be moved when their homes are flooded Sunday, a few days after seven people died after a storm struck north of the country.

Horrific storms are rare in Greece, especially in the summer that usually come with high temperatures and dry weather.

The devastating flood also destroyed several roads near the city of Nafpaktos and Patra, in western Greece causing the main route to be blocked for several hours.

However, no injuries or missing victims are reported.

“Many houses and shops in the city of Nafpaktos are flooded with water, causing destruction, and even destroying vehicles,” a firefighter said.

Meanwhile, seven individuals, including six death-backs, were killed while 100 were reportedly injured on Thursday, when a storm struck northern Greece overnight.
