PARIS: The shooting at a Christmas market, the city of Strasbourg on December 11, 2018 has added to the long list of acts of terror that took place in France. This series of terror and shooting action caused the French government to raise the level of security.

January 7, 2015
Two perpetrators use masks to openly open fire at the office of the Charlie Hebdo weekly magazine. This attack killed 12 people, including a magazine editor named Stephane Charbonnier.
The attackers fled so that hundreds of police officers were deployed to conduct a search.
This attack has encouraged the sympathy of the people by carrying out road actions which also followed world leaders.
November 13, 2015
A series of terror attacks occur in the capital city of Paris claimed by the Islamic State group. The shooting and suicide bombings were carried out at around 9:20 to 9.50 a night.
Three suicide bombings detonated during the German-French friendly football match at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, Paris.
The president of France, then led by Francois Hollande, was tightly guarded for security.
Not enough terror attacks at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. At the same time a perpetrator fired blindly at a bar and restaurant.
The shooting was also carried out at Bataclan nightclub when the Eagles of Death Metal music group was on stage.
A number of perpetrators used suicide bomb belts to destroy the place and opened fire on the crowd.
July 14, 2016
A terror attack took place again in the city of Nice, France on July 14, 2016.
The perpetrators of the attack used a tronton truck and crashed it into a crowd that was celebrating Bastille Day.
The crowd, who were watching the fireworks, suddenly panicked and ran away in a mess to save themselves. As many as 86 people were killed in this attack.
The ISIS group claimed responsibility.
July 26, 2018
Father Jacques Hamel, 85, who is presiding over a mass at a Catholic church was killed by two armed men who broke into the church.
The two perpetrators were allegedly part of the ISIS group.
They did not shoot, but told Father Hamel to kneel and slit his throat. Both of them also stabbed one other person.
