French police arrests 100 yellow vest protesters

French police on Saturday arrested 100 people in Paris during protests by the “Yellow vest” movement to mark the first anniversary of the start of the demonstrations.

According to Sky News, police intervened to prevent hundreds of yellow vest protesters from demonstrating on the Paris Ring Road, confirming security forces used tear gas to disperse protesters northwest of the capital.

For its part, the Parisian public transport company announced the closure of more than 20 metro and railway stations, since this morning, under the demonstrations of yellow jackets, at the request of the police, including stations located near the Champs Elysees, the Eiffel Tower, the Place de la Concorde and the National Assembly. Changes to the route of more than 50 buses in the capital.
