German police has shut down explosives seller website. Around 1,000 police officers raided Tuesday in Germany, Lithuania and Croatia as part of a cybercrime investigation into a site that provided details of how explosives and industrial drugs were produced.

Police in the central German city of Gottingen coordinated the raids, during which 34 buildings were searched, 22 suspects were interrogated and 127 kilograms of chemicals used to make explosives and explosives were seized.

Police also found weapons, ammunition and chemicals to make industrial drugs.

The website, explosivesNet, has been frozen and its usual content were replaced by a letter from German prosecutors saying “this domain and its criminal content have been confiscated”.

The domain follows an electronic platform with about 3,000 registered members, 360 of whom were actively involved in 2018, police said in a statement.

Police are now investigating platform operators and users for suspected possession of weapons, explosive and narcotics.
