The German government said in a statement that it issued arms exports permits worth 7.42 billion euros during the first 10 months of this year; almost equivalent to the total value of arms exports recorded by Germany in the record year 2015, which amounted to 7.86 billion euros.

The German Ministry of Economy responded to a briefing request from its deputy, the parliamentary bloc of the Left Party, Sevim Dagdelen. German government issued permits to export 2.4 billion euros worth of military weapons and 5.09 billion euros worth of other arms goods between January 1 and October 31. This year.

The German government rejected 56 requests for authorization for arms deals totaling 15.7 million euros; the small number of rejected applications was because applications without chances of approval were not provided at all.

It is noteworthy that as of mid-this year, the government had agreed to grant permits to arms export worth 5.3 billion euros, almost equivalent to the value of arms exports during the whole of last year (4.8 billion euros).
