Germany: Four arrested on suspicion of financial support for IS

On suspicion of financial support for a terrorist group, four people have been arrested in Neumunster, Germany. “I can confirm the four arrest warrants of the higher regional court on support of the IS”, Hamburg prosecutor Nana Frombach told German press agency on Wednesday.

A woman from Schleswig-Holstein, who has emigrated to Syria and has joined the IS, 2017 was allegedly involved in the transaction of money in the five-digit range .

The detainees are accused of “community support for a foreign terrorist group,” Frombach said. They are in custody. Before the arrests, three apartments were searched, two in Neumunster, one in Hamburg.
