Italian aviation on Saturday allowed partial resumption of work at two Sicily airports after they were temporarily closed due to the eruption of the famous Etna volcano.

The volcano has led to the release of lava and volcanic ash into space and has forced Italian aviation authorities to close the two airports in Catania, Sicily, while the volcanic lava covers a circle of about 1.5 kilometers, the Voice of America radio reported.
