A man was shot dead northwest of London on Friday night, bringing the death toll in the British capital this year alone to 69.
Police said they found a 20-year-old man with gunshot wounds on a street in Wembley, where he was taken to hospital before he died.
Police said they had contacted a relative of the victim to identify him, the British media reported.
Police said they had not arrested anyone on suspicion of involvement in the incident so far, but the area will witness an intense security presence.
In particular, London and the UK have seen a rise in appeal rates, which reached their highest level in 10 years.
