British Parliament did not look for an alternative to the Brexit Prime Minister agreement on Wednesday May can agree. Various variants of a closer connection to the EU were rejected late in the evening just as a second referendum or an exit without an agreement.

A total of eight alternative proposals for the Brexit Agreement of Prime Minister Theresa May were put to the vote in the evening. For this, deputies of the government had temporarily taken the control of the agenda in the lower house from the hand. With these groundbreaking votes, Parliament wanted to explore what alternatives there are for a majority. Also the next Monday the delegates had already reserved for their purposes.

May now hope again, but still get a majority for their Brexit agreement. She would give up her position in the near future, as May announced Wednesday. She said she would not lead the next phase of the Brexit negotiations in this case, May said in a speech to members of her Conservative party on Wednesday.

“I am prepared to leave this post sooner than intended to do the right thing for our country and for our party.” She knew there was also a desire for a new leadership – “I will not go into that Put away “. However, an exact date for her resignation did not call May.

Already last weekend, media reports about potential interim successors had been speculated. These include the EU-friendly vice-premier David Lidington and the Brexit supporters and Secretary of state for environment Micheal Gove, both were extremely loyal to the Prime Minister.

Originally, Britain should leave the community this Friday. Brussels recently offered London a postponement of the Brexit until the 22nd of May. However, the condition for this is that the lower house agrees to the withdrawal agreement later this week. Otherwise, the extension is only valid until April 12th. In that case, London should tell the EU ahead of this date how to proceed.

Should Britain leave without agreement from the EU retirement is expected to have dramatic consequences for the economy and many other areas of life.
