German police have stepped up security at Stuttgart’s southern airport on Thursday on suspicion of spying on airport operations.

Police told local media, that they were still assessing the information they had, which would not affect the air traffic in any way.

Police said they had stepped up security and surveillance at nearby small airports in the state of Baden-Württemberg and the cities of Baden and Mannheim as a precautionary measure.
