Weather experts warned severe heat wave with forest fires in Austria

Austria is experiencing a wave of hot weather, which is expected to peak on Friday, with a temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius, an unusual weather in Austria and Central Europe, which is characterized by low temperatures in most months of the year.

Media sources in Vienna said on late Monday that weather experts warned that climate change was expanding, pointing to the rise of heatwaves in Central Europe.

Weather experts have already warned that children, the elderly and the sick should get out as little as possible during heatwaves, the sources said.

The sources pointed to increased fears of forest fires, noting that there is a significant threat to agriculture due to drought.
